I found a shard of pottery whilst digging my potato patch. I liked the pattern and the colours so decided I would use it as inspiration for a new print. Most of the houses I have lived in have been old and the main type of broken pottery I have found has been blue willow pattern, now I live in a to me modern house built in the 1970’s I found it interesting that the discarded ephemera is of the more recent past.
